Prince William was born on June 21, 1982 in London to father, Prince of Wales Charles and late mother, Princess of Wales Diana. He was born at St Mary’s Hospital, London weighing 7 pounds 1.5 ounces. After his father, Prince Charles he will be honored with the throne of United Kingdom. His ancestors include Grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was the first born of his parents after Prince Harry. His childhood was raised in Kensington Palace in London.


He has six Godparents: official king, Constantine II OF Greece; Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy; the Duchess of Westminster: Lady Susan Hussey; Lord Romsey and Sir Laurens van der Post. He was lovingly named “Wombat” or “Wills” by his parents. In the age of his seven he desired to be a police officer in order to protect his mother. On 1st March 1991, he makes his first public appearance in his parent’s official appointment to Cardiff, Wales. On the same day it was discovered he was left-handed. At the age of 9, he was fortuitously hit on the side of his forehead by his friend. The tragic bought on 1997, when Princess of Wales, Diana died in a car accident. The funeral was set from Buckingham Place to Westminster Abbey.


The Royal was send to many schools, colleges and university. He attended Jane Mynor’s nursery and Wetherby School in London. Next he was the attendant of Ludgrove School in Berkshire. During his study in Ludgrove he was involved in many circular activities including football, basketball, cross country running and clay pigeon shooting. He got admitted to Elton College only by passing the entrance exam. He was the student of geography, biology and history of art at A-Level. He continued playing football leading his house team in Elton.  


Against his royal family tradition of sending their children to Gordonstoun he was send to Alton: though Diana’s father and brother was the attendant of Elton. Finishing his study in Elton he took a year gap and got enrolled in British Army training exercise in Belize. In 2001, he chooses University of St Andrew for his higher study. He was the learner of art history but changes his mind and chooses geography for his degree. Later on February 2011 he revisit St Andrews as Patron of the university’s 600th Anniversary Appeal. He started to convoy his duties at early age. Being appointed as a Counsellor of State at his 21 started his royal duties. In his 21st birthday he joined royal tour of Wales along with his father, seeing the Anglesey Food Fair and opened shelter for the homeless in Newport.


In July 2005, he traveled to New Zealand and became the part of World War II commemorations. Prince William and Prince Harry attended the 30th anniversary of his father’s charity, The Prince’s Trust. In 2009, his grandmother opened a private office along with the adviser, David Manning. He opened the new building of Supreme Court of New Zealand. In 2010, he was the fifth President of British Academy of Film and Television Arts. From January 2006 to December 16 he was the Officer Cadet. From16 December 2006 to 1st January 2009 he ruled as the Lieutenant of the Blues and Royal.


William date Kate Middleton for six years as an on and off couple. The couple announced their engagement on November 2010. The Royal marriage was held on April 29 2011 in Westminster Abbey, London. The Duke and Kate welcomed their first child on July 22 2013. The baby boy was named Prince George of Cambridge: the third in line to the throne of United Kingdom.


Prince William is very fond of football and is the president of England’s Football Association. He usually plays polo for charitable cause. He is fluent in English and Latin and also speaks some Spanish. He appreciates jazz and blue music. He loves to ride motorbike and buy a 600c Triumph Daytona.
