Mollie Marcoux Samaan is the new commissioner of LPGA.

In her own words, Mollie is a self-described lifelong super fan of LPGA. She took over the position from Mike Whan, who will take the helm of USGA after 11 years with the LPGA.

Mollie Marcoux Samaan was a passionate multi-sport athlete.

After watching the LPGA and her older brother playing golf, she began her endeavor in golf at the age of 11.

Apparently, she would spend her summer days at Newman Golf Course in Ithaca, New York.

At 14, she was the runner-up in the women’s city championship, losing in a playoff. She is also 5 times club champion at the North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue, N.Y. In 1991, Mollie graduated with a Bachelors’s degree in Arts from the Princeton University.

After her graduation, she went on to work at Chelsea Piers from January 2002 to December 2010 as the first vice president and field house general manager.

In January 2010, Mollie went on to become the executive vice president of Chelsea Piers Connecticut.

Then in the August of 2014, she became the Ford Family Director of Athletics at Princeton University.

And recently, in 2021, she was elected as the new commissioner of LPGA.

Mollie Marcoux Samaan is happily married to her husband, Andrew Samaan.

She is also the mother of three children, Maddie, Catie, and Drew.
